The Resilience training was fun, interactive and very practical in terms of helping colleagues develop their own personal resilience.
Rebecca delivered her Resilience training at our department Away Day. The session was fun, interactive and very practical in terms of helping colleagues develop their own personal resilience. The team came away with a clear idea of how they could help themselves and each other to be resilient in the work place. Many of the team members have told us they found the session very useful. Staff were engaged right the way through and some brilliant conversations were had. The team have also grown much closer together following the session and this has really improved how we work together. We would really recommend Rebecca and WorkBrighter to anyone.

“Here at esure we recently engaged Rebecca at Work Brighter to help us review our customer service and sales selection tools. Rebecca is so easy to work with and makes light work of what can appear daunting to the inexperienced. Rebecca was keen to sit with our employees and listen to customer calls to understand the activities carried out by our employees, along with experiencing the environment in which we work. The output from this review has been invaluable in helping us to design a selection experience for our candidates which meets our needs but keeps the candidate experience through our selection process as true to the role as possible but tests their skills, competencies. Thank you Rebecca and I hope we get an opportunity to work with you again soon.”
– Yvonne Foster, Recruitment Manager, esure
“Rebecca delivered an excellent session at a CIPD Huddersfield geographical branch event entitled “Improving employee engagement and customer satisfaction by making the most of your strengths”. The event was well attended by both HR professionals and HR students and received very good feedback from delegates. The session was interactive, with great group discussions evaluating personal strengths and considering how to use strengths in recruitment and development. Rebecca facilitated the event very well, in particular her expertise in use of strengths for workplace recruitment was evident.”
– Liz Rivers, Lecturer in HR Management, University of Huddersfield
“Rebecca redesigned our Graduate Situational Judgement Test, which we need to help us sift the volume of applications we receive for our Graduate schemes at E.ON. She brought a wealth of SJT knowledge and experience to the project and helped us develop a Graduate Situational Judgement Test which differentiates between candidates and predicts good performers.
She was clear with her approach and openly shared knowledge on the best practice tools and techniques. I’d happily use Work Brighter again for our assessment needs as Rebecca is reliable and transparent in her approach, and adaptable to our changing time scales.”
– Helen Ling, Resourcing Consultant, E.ON UK
For Assessment Day, we designed a suite of bespoke ‘day in the life’ assessment centre exercises for their website. The objective being to provide potential candidates of graduate assessment centres to look at and try out assessment centre exercises including a role-play, group and analysis & presentation exercise to prepare themselves for external assessments.
“I appreciate how you’ve really understood this project and delivered a great end result. Especially valuable when I didn’t have a set brief in mind myself! So I’m very pleased with your work.”
– Oliver Savill, Assessment Day
In partnership with Strengths Partnership, we used a strengths based recruitment approach for a HR Graduate Trainee Officer role in a public sector ombudsman.
The candidates found it interesting and challenging stating “it was focusing on me and how I could contribute rather than the usual” and “it’s different as I was more relaxed as I had to be myself”.
“The strengths based approach and also the expertise and professionalism of the consultant (Rebecca Stevens) that worked with me on this assignment was excellent. The approach led to more authentic responses from candidates’ and a far richer discovery of their talents and motivations. Interestingly, areas of concern or possible weakness surfaced naturally as the candidates were less inhibited when discussing their strengths. As an interviewer, by the end of the interview you certainly felt you had a more rounded sense of the person and whether there was a potential person/role fit.”
– Paul Neville, Head of People and Organisational Development, Housing Ombudsman
Fujitsu required support from an expert in the field to deliver a one day workshop to the Northern Ireland Office of the Civil Service Commissioners on best practice and recent developments within selection and assessment approaches. It was important that this was someone who was external to their business to maintain objectivity.
With Strengths Partnership, Rebecca Stevens designed and delivered a one day workshop taking them through best practice in the selection and assessment field, and what the emerging trends are.
“thank you for helping us to get to a successful event and outcome today. Rebecca went down a storm with the Commissioners and got some fabulous feedback at the end of the session. Their feedback was that the content hit the nail on the head and covered the ground they were wanting to cover. So a great tick in the box all round”
